This contract role offers a dedicated classroom environment at a wonderful elementary location near Muskegon, MI. You’ll focus on making a meaningful impact with a small group of students— currently six, with the potential for growth throughout the school year.

Enjoy your own classroom supported by three skilled assistants and collaborate closely with a veteran ECSE teacher who will serve as a helpful resource. This position begins as part-time (up to 30 hours per week), with the possibility of increased hours as student enrollment rises.

Qualifications & Preferred Experience:

• Valid Michigan Early Childhood Special Education (ECSE) endorsement strongly preferred, but will consider certified Special Education Teachers with other endorsements.
• Passion for early childhood education and a commitment to supporting children with special needs.
• Experience in classroom management, especially with younger age groups.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Collaborative spirit and adaptability as classroom needs evolve.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement specialized individualized instruction for young learners with diverse needs.
• Foster a nurturing, structured, and engaging classroom environment.
• Work closely with classroom assistants and other ECSE staff to promote student growth.
• Track progress, maintain records, and communicate with families as needed.
• Adapt instructional strategies as classroom enrollment changes.
