Scheduling Coordinator (Bilingual – English/Spanish) Location: New Orleans Smiles, In-person Position Type: Full-Time Pay: $11.00 - $17.00 per hour Benefits 401(k) Employee discount Health insurance Life insurance Paid time off Position Overview The Scheduling Coordinator is responsible for managing and optimizing the daily schedule to ensure providers, clinical teams, and patients are scheduled efficiently. This role serves as a central communication hub between patients, providers, and team members, helping maintain productive schedules, minimize downtime, and deliver an excellent patient experience. No dental experience required; training will be provided for the right candidate. Key Responsibilities Schedule new patient, treatment, hygiene, and specialty appointments according to office guidelines. Maintain productive provider schedules and maximize chair utilization. Confirm appointments and communicate with patients regarding schedule changes. Manage cancellations, no-shows, and same-day openings by actively working unscheduled treatment lists and call lists. Coordinate specialty appointments and ensure proper scheduling flow between departments. Assist patients with appointment requests and answer scheduling-related questions. Monitor future schedules and identify opportunities to improve efficiency and patient access. Qualifications Bilingual proficiency (English/Spanish) – Required Strong customer service and communication skills Highly organized and detail-oriented Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment Positive attitude and strong problem-solving skills Ability to remain calm and professional under pressure Comfortable making outbound calls to patients Dental and/or orthodontic knowledge (preferred) Advanced Dentrix proficiency (preferred) Proven ability to manage complex schedules and maintain productivity goals (preferred) Experience: 1 year customer service (preferred), 1 year dental scheduling (preferred) #J-18808-Ljbffr FRANCESCA VELASCO DDS LLC
