The Maintenance Electrician ensures operation of production machinery and electrical equipment by troubleshooting, performing repairs and preventive maintenance in an effective, efficient and safe manner.Key Responsibilities:Install, repair and test electrical systems on industrial equipment including motors, sensors, pumps, PLC control systems, power distribution,lighting, and network systems to NEC standardsPerform final system check out with full understanding of what the equipment does / is supposed to do.Retrieve and close out PMs and work orders from CMMS system.Make recommendations for PM adjustments and/or PM additions to equipment.Perform monitoring of ladder logic programs for troubleshooting, monitoring input/output modules, and modifications for process improvements.Work from technical manuals, schematics, drawings, sketches, SOPs, written and verbal instructions.Participate in all AVO trainings related to his/her job in order to gain knowledge/skills/abilities needed for exceptional performance.Maintain a safe and sanitary atmosphere with a high regard for environmental impact of the operation.Follow all Adams safety rules and regulations including working knowledge of arc flash, Lock out/Tag Out (LOTO), fall protection equipment, National Electric Code (NEC) and other forms of personal protective equipment.Communicate in a professional and positive manner to accomplish duties effectively, working as a team with all involved.Be an involved/engaged member of the team and willing to act and think independently.Maintain a high level of accountability.Reliability to carry out duties and follow instructions.Required Qualifications:5+ years of experience working as an Electrician in an industrial manufacturing environment.Must have the ability to provide lockable tool box and electrician tools.Efficient in sizing conductors, conduits and using NEC Code Book.Experienced in handling low to high voltage up to 480 VAC.Competent with installing, maintaining, troubleshooting and programming of VFD’s.Compenent with troubleshooting PLC’s.Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair motor control centers (MCC) and all circuit protection devices.Experienced in Process Controls.Diagnose and apply results using: Voltmeters, ammeters, IR and megger.Familiar with current Arc Flash regulations.Position may require employee to work around and troubleshoot energized equipment.Have the ability to climb stairs and ladders.Able to work in all weather conditions.Able to lift up to 50 pounds on a regular basis.Must be willing and able to work overtime hours during the week, weekends and/or holidays as needed.Must be able to oversee all efforts of the supply room.Preferred Qualifications:Experienced in Process ControlsAbility to become qualified to operate lifting equipment (Fork Truck, Ariel lift, Etc.).Skills and Competencies:Intermediate to advanced computer skills.Reliability to carry out duties and follow instructions.Highly motivated and self-directed.Communicate in a professional and positive manner to accomplish duties effectively, working as a team with all involved.Be an involved/engaged member of the team and willing to act and think independently.Maintain a high level of accountability.Working Conditions:Have the ability to climb stairs and laddersAble to work in all weather conditionsAble to lift up to 50 pounds on a regular basisWilling and able to work overtime hours during the week, weekends and/or holidays as neededPosition may require employee to work around and troubleshoot energized equipmentFood Safety Policy:Adams Group is committed to producing and distributing high quality products through adherence to industry and regulatory standards.
