Experienced Litigation Paralegal

Bradley Murchison Kelly & Shea LLC, a well‑established Louisiana law firm with a strong litigation practice, is seeking an experienced Litigation Paralegal to join our New Orleans office. This position supports attorneys handling complex civil litigation across the firm’s core practice areas, including casualty, medical malpractice, transportation, commercial, insurance defense, and general litigation.

Key Responsibilities

• Support attorneys through all phases of litigation, including investigation, discovery, motion practice, trial, and appeals
• Conduct factual research, gather records, and assist with witness preparation
• Draft and revise correspondence, discovery requests/responses, subpoenas, and pleadings
• Manage discovery, including document tracking, review, organization, and production
• Maintain case files, litigation calendars, and deadlines
• Prepare deposition summaries, exhibit lists, and trial notebooks
• Coordinate communication with clients, experts, court personnel, and opposing counsel
• Perform legal research using Westlaw or similar platforms
• E‑file documents in Louisiana state and federal courts
• Provide support during hearings, depositions, and trial as needed

Qualifications

• Paralegal certificate or degree (ABA‑approved program preferred)
• 3+ years of litigation experience
• Strong writing, editing, and communication skills
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and litigation support software
• Experience with e‑discovery platforms
• Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast‑paced environment
• High attention to detail and strong organizational skills
• Professional demeanor and ability to work collaboratively with attorneys and staff
