School - Staff - St. James Catholic School Cafeteria Cook (Full-Time) Published: 07/09/2025 St. James Catholic School in North Miami, Florida has an opening for a full-time Cafeteria Cook . This position is responsible for providing support in the cafeteria and working with assigned food service tasks as requested by the school, including preparing, cooking, and serving food, and cleaning. This person will also be responsible for understanding certain food preparation procedures and the use of kitchen equipment. The Cafeteria Cook performs all duties and responsibilities in alignment with the mission, vision, and values of the Catholic Archdiocese of Miami. Schedule: 6:00 a.m.- 2:30 p.m., Monday - Friday. Qualifications: High-school diploma or G.E.D equivalent Knowledge of food handling. Knowledge of kitchen appliances and knife skills. Must have basic math and reading knowledge and must be able to follow oral and written instructions. Good oral and written English-language communication skills. Must be supportive of the mission and tenets of the Roman Catholic Church. Experience in a Roman Catholic environment preferred. Must have a pleasant, service-oriented demeanor.
