Travel Registered Nurse – Medical Surgical (Night Shift)

Contract | Travel | 13-Week Assignment | Night Shift (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | Every Other Weekend Required

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a 33-bed Medical Surgical unit with a nurse-to-patient ratio of 7:1 on nights
• Manage IV therapy, Kangaroo pumps, and sequential compression devices (SCDs) as part of routine patient care
• Document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes using the Meditech electronic documentation system
• Collaborate with a team including nursing technicians and unit support staff to deliver safe, quality care
• Float in rotation to other appropriate units as needed per facility policy

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license valid in Tennessee or compact state eligibility
• Minimum of 2 years of Medical Surgical nursing experience
• Proficiency with IV therapy, Kangaroo pumps, and SCDs
• Experience with Meditech or comparable electronic health record documentation system
• Ability to meet every-other-weekend scheduling requirement

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior travel nursing experience in a Medical Surgical setting
• Familiarity with Meditech documentation platform
• Experience working in a high-census inpatient unit with float rotation expectations
