Quality Assurance SpecialistEssential Functions And Responsibilities:Conducts quality checks, inspections and assessmentsApproves and releases products to and from quality status steps or stationsResponsible for the executing DR, CAR / PAR, and RFC systemsActs as auditor for internal, ISO and customer audits, as assignedAssists in inspection of incoming and completed customer supplied product to ensure conformanceEnsures calibration of tools and equipment is complete and documented, as assignedMaintains a neat and orderly work areaAdheres to plant and corporate safety policiesMay assist in other areas or perform other duties, as required by fluctuating business needsEducation And/Or Experience:Level of education and/or experience needed to successfully accomplish the essential duties of this job. Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.Language Skills:Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documentsAbility to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business communityAbility to write speeches and articles for publication that conform to prescribed style and formatAbility to effectively present information to top management, public groups, and/or boards of directorsMathematical Skills:Ability to apply advanced mathematical concepts such as exponents, logarithms, quadratic equations, and permutationsAbility to apply mathematical operations to such tasks as frequency distribution, determination of test reliability and validity, analysis of variance, correlation techniques, sampling theory, and factor analysisReasoning Ability:Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization existsAbility to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule formAdditional Competencies Required To Perform Job:Possesses excellent organizational and interpersonal skillsAbility to read, write and follow written or verbal instructionsAbility to speak, read and write EnglishSelf-motivated and able to work with minimal supervisionAbility to interact closely with other departments to support quality focusDemonstrated capacity to work with Microsoft Office Products, Lotus Notes, and other critical computer applicationsPossesses a working knowledge regarding ISO quality standards, statistical process control and other quality measurement systemsPossesses a broad knowledge of coating center and equipment operations
