REPORTS TO : Outreach Advocacy Manager
HOURS : Full-time, 40 hours per week
PAY : $20 per hour

JOB SUMMARY :
The Case Manager provides survivor‑centered advocacy and case management services to individuals
experiencing domestic violence and sexual assault. Working in shelter, outreach, and community‑based
settings, the Case Manager supports clients in crisis by assessing needs, developing client‑driven action
plans, providing safety planning, and connecting survivors to community resources and supports that
promote stability and self‑sufficiency. Services are delivered in person and by phone, using a
trauma‑informed and culturally responsive approach.
The Case Manager builds professional, supportive relationships with clients while maintaining clear
boundaries and honoring client autonomy and self‑determination. This role requires flexibility, strong
organizational and time‑management skills, and the ability to work collaboratively within a
multidisciplinary team. Case Manager is expected to remain current with best practices in victim
advocacy through required training and ongoing professional development.
RESPONSIBILITIES :
● Provides case management for survivors, which includes: intake/critical needs, needs
assessment, safety plan, risk of danger assessment, action planning, provide clients with
resources and referrals to community partners; educate and empower survivors to thrive in the
healing process, document all client interactions within 24 hours of meeting with the client.
● Provides court advocacy; assistance with filing protective orders/stalking injunctions, safety
planning and attending court with clients when needed.
● Will work with clients to develop a client driven action plan based on needs assessment
● Case Manager will provide clients with resources and referrals to community partners; provide
education to empower survivors to thrive in the healing process; and link underserved victims to
supportive and culturally competent resources specific to client needs
● Case Manager will work in the community with clients in doing home visits, meet with clients in
the community and provide low-barrier access to services
● Engage in ongoing case staffing and supervision with program manager
● Co-facilitate support, education, or skill-building groups for clients, in collaboration with other
DOVE Center Staff.
● Integrate financial empowerment education and support into case management services
● The Case Manager will document all client interactions within 24 hours of meeting with the
client
● Provide crisis advocacy to victims via hotline calls and walk-ins to the office
● Participate in the Hospital Advocate Response Team (HART) on-call rotation, providing crisis
response and support as required
● Additional duties may be assigned as necessary to support evolving program needs, staffing
changes, team coverage, and continuity of services. In these circumstances, a supervisor will
approve these duties to ensure they do not change the core purpose of this position.

● Strong organization skills and ability to manage time, documentation and multiple priorities
effectively
QUALIFICATIONS :
● Preferred Bachelor’s degrees in Social Work or other Behavioral Science filed and two years of
experience in human services; or an associate degree in a human services or related field and
three years of experience in human services; or five years of experience in human services
● Ability to work evening and weekends as program needs require
● Strong organizational, time management, and self-direction skills, with the ability to complete
tasks with minimal supervision
● Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team
● Computer proficiency with word processing, spreadsheets, databases, and email platforms,
including Google Workspace and Microsoft Office applications
● Knowledge of community resources and referral processes, or ability to quickly acquire this
knowledge
● Valid driver’s license, current auto insurance, reliable transportation
● Ability to pass required background checks (BCI) per UT DHHS contract
● Excellent written and verbal communication skills
● Knowledge of and ability to comply with local, state and federal laws pertaining to confidentiality
