This contract opportunity is perfect for Speech-Language Pathologists passionate about working with diverse student populations in both K-8 and elementary settings. Flexible options exist for both part-time and full-time assignments across several local campuses, with caseloads tailored to your experience and preferred age groups.
Current assignments feature well-regarded schools, each with distinct team dynamics and support systems. You’ll collaborate closely with teachers, families, and other specialists, providing direct therapy services and contributing to students’ overall academic success. On-site presence is essential, allowing you to build lasting relationships and foster progress firsthand.
Desired Qualifications:
- Active Florida Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) license
- Experience in school settings, preferably with K-8 and/or elementary populations
- Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
- Adaptable, collaborative, and resourceful approach
- Comfortable working independently or as part of an SLP team
- Able to complete necessary credentialing steps, including fingerprinting (AHCA transferable if previously printed)
- Willingness to pick up school badge in person before starting assignment
Core Responsibilities:
- Provide speech-language therapy and evaluation services to caseload of students (specific sites include St. Lucie West, Tradition Lakes, Manatee K-8, C.A. Moore K-8, and White City Elementary)
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Participate in student support teams and communicate with educators and families
- Maintain accurate documentation of progress and services delivered
- Engage in team meetings, professional development, and school events as required
Openings are available immediately, with assignments running through June 2027. Flexible part-time roles (14-21 hours weekly) can be combined for full-time consideration (up to 35 hours).
