Rhino Medical is leading the charge seeking an experienced Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant for a focused locum tenens assignment in Longview, Texas , from October 16 through November 27, 2026 .

This opportunity combines Occupational Medicine and walk-in Urgent Care in a structured outpatient environment with a highly predictable weekday schedule. You'll manage workplace injuries, acute presentations, occupational physicals, and in-office procedures while maintaining consistent Monday–Friday, 8A–5P hours.

Clinical Scope

This is hands-on outpatient medicine with a meaningful mix of occupational injury care, urgent care, physical examinations, and procedures .

The NP/PA will:

• Diagnose and treat work-related injuries
• Evaluate and treat urgent care patients on a walk-in basis
• Perform appropriate in-office procedures
• Conduct pre-placement physical examinations
• Perform DOT physical examinations
• Conduct public safety and medical surveillance physicals
• Communicate with employers and provide appropriate medical guidance
• Complete clinical documentation accurately and efficiently
• Provide welcoming, skilled, and respectful patient care

Monday–Friday
8:00 AM–5:00 PM
October 16–November 27, 2026

Practice Environment

This opportunity is well suited for an NP or PA who enjoys variety and wants to remain clinically active throughout the day.

You'll move between workplace injuries, walk-in acute presentations, physical examinations, procedures, and employer communication in an outpatient setting designed around efficient, practical medicine.

Rather than a physicals-only assignment, the clinical scope provides an opportunity to use both acute-care and occupational-medicine skills throughout the assignment.

Requirements

• Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant
• Comfortable evaluating and treating work-related injuries
• Comfortable managing walk-in urgent care presentations
• Ability to perform required in-office procedures
• Ability to perform occupational physical examinations, including DOT, public safety, pre-placement, and surveillance examinations
• Strong clinical documentation and communication skills
