Job Summary:

At  The Exercise Coach , we believe everyone deserves to feel stronger, healthier, and more confident. Through personalized coaching and innovative fitness technology, we help clients improve their quality of life in just two 20-minute sessions per week.

We're seeking an energetic, people-focused  Exercise Coach who enjoys building relationships, motivating others, and making a meaningful impact. Whether you're an experienced fitness professional or simply passionate about helping people succeed, we'll provide comprehensive training in our proven coaching methodology and proprietary technology.

As an Exercise Coach, you'll deliver individualized strength, balance, and stretch sessions while creating an exceptional client experience. You'll educate and encourage clients throughout their fitness journey, celebrate their progress, and contribute to the overall success and growth of the studio. As we continue to expand, you'll also have opportunities to mentor new coaches and grow into leadership responsibilities.

Qualifications:

Required

• Eligible to work in the United States
• Current CPR/AED certification from a nationally recognized provider (or ability to obtain prior to employment)
• Successful completion of The Exercise Coach Certification Program and Stretch & Balance Certification (provided upon hire)

Physical Requirements

This position requires the ability to:

• Stand and walk for extended periods
• Bend, reach, push, pull, and occasionally lift equipment or supplies
• Safely assist clients on and off exercise equipment
• Demonstrate exercises with proper form and technique

Work Environment

• Clean, professional, climate-controlled fitness studio
• Appointment-based scheduling with a consistent client flow

Key Responsibilities:

Exercise Coaching

• Deliver personalized exercise sessions in accordance with The Exercise Coach standards and coaching methodology
• Evaluate clients' fitness levels, movement patterns, and goals
• Develop individualized exercise programs based on client needs
• Monitor client progress and modify programs as appropriate
• Teach proper exercise technique, breathing, and safe equipment usage
• Provide motivation, encouragement, and accountability throughout each session
• Ensure all safety policies and procedures are followed

Client Experience

• Build strong, lasting relationships with clients
• Create an exceptional coaching experience during every visit
• Educate clients on the benefits of strength training, balance, mobility, and healthy lifestyle habits
• Celebrate client achievements and encourage long-term success

Client Acquisition

• Conduct initial consultations and introductory training sessions when assigned
• Support studio marketing and lead generation initiatives
• Help prospective clients understand the value of our programs

Client Retention & Reengagement

• Proactively contact clients who miss appointments or fall behind in attendance
• Re-engage former clients using established studio strategies
• Accurately document client communications and follow-up activities

Administrative Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate client records and documentation
• Process client forms, scheduling updates, and payment transactions
• Respond promptly and professionally to emails, phone calls, and text messages
• Complete administrative tasks as assigned by the Studio Manager

Studio Operations

• Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming studio environment
• Monitor equipment condition and report maintenance needs
• Assist with opening, closing, and daily operational procedures as needed

Team Culture

• Demonstrate professionalism, integrity, and a positive attitude
• Foster a collaborative, supportive team environment
• Remain engaged and productive throughout each shift
• Lead by example by embracing an active, healthy lifestyle and participating in The Exercise Coach fitness program

Professional Development

• Serve as a knowledgeable ambassador for The Exercise Coach brand
• Participate in ongoing education and company training
• Stay current on fitness principles and company programs
• Pursue opportunities for leadership and career growth within the organization

Work Schedule

• Maintain availability according to the schedule established by the Studio Manager
• Follow all company policies regarding attendance, schedule changes, overtime, and shift responsibilities
• Communicate promptly regarding any scheduling conflicts or unexpected absences

• Maintain working knowledge of all company policies and procedures outlined in the Employee Handbook
• Consistently comply with all safety, operational, and employment policies
• Perform additional duties as assigned to support the success of the studio and its clients
