Dive into hand-made artisan products at our production facility and retail locations or go behind the bar at our vibrant tasting rooms in downtown Albuquerque and Santa Fe.Job Summary:The Groundskeeper's primary areas of responsibility include the cleaning of parking lots, sidewalks, patios, and all outside areas, mowing, trimming, weeding, pruning, and the care and maintenance of trees, shrubs, flower beds, irrigation systems, and specialized care of areas for events, tours and workshops as described below, as well as other duties as assigned by the Garden & Landscape Manager. This position requires punctuality, responsibility, integrity and productive work habits. Must be responsible and committed to the overall work ethic of the grounds department.Duties & Responsibilities:Act as an ambassador and representative for the property, the Village of Los Ranchos, and AlbuquerqueResponsible for appropriate seasonal care of plants and groundsMaintain trees, shrubs, and landscapes to keep them clean, healthy, and aesthetically appealingEngage in daily operations of all facets of holistic grounds management, including weeding and pest managementAssist in the maintenance and management of the systems, equipment and facilities essential to the grounds care, including drip and spray irrigation systems, acequias, and hand and power toolsAssist with cleaning parking lots, sidewalks, pathways, and entryways at all facilitiesEmpty outdoor garbage cans every morning and as neededClean outdoor furniture in assigned areasRake crusher fine paths and other areasRake and remove leaves and other debris from pathways, lawns, flower beds, and other landscaped areasRemove weeds in all landscaped areas, in walkways, lawns, parking lots, and flower bedsRemove spent flower blossoms as needed in all areasMow and trim lawns, fertilize as directedHand and hose watering as needed or directedAble to work in all areas of the landscape and the farm as needed or requested by the Garden & Landscape Manager or Groundskeeping SupervisorEssential Job Functions:Cultivate lawns, turf, or gardensEvaluate the quality of plants, trees, and lawnsPlant greenery to improve landscape appearancePerform manual agricultural, aquacultural, or horticultural tasksTrim trees or other vegetationOperate irrigation systems.
