Financial Analyst

This is an onsite position at 14610 Breakers Dr. Jacksonville, FL 32258

Summary


The overall objective of this position is to provide a high level of customer service, business intelligence, and insights into a variety of reporting.


Essential Duties/Accountabilities

• Prepare and analyze data for end-user projects

• Accurately report and understand financials, including general ledger accounts

• Evaluate general ledger accounts by conducting variance analysis - comparing actual results with plans and forecasts

• Create recommendations to be presented to management and executives

• Guide cost analysis process by following policies and procedures

• Provide analysis of trends and forecasts and recommend actions for optimization

• Identify and drive process improvements, including the creation of standard and ad-hoc reports, tools, and dashboards

• Increase productivity by developing automated reporting/forecasting tools

• Responsible for maintaining up-to-date technical knowledge of financial instruments, market conditions and trends

Qualifications

• 0-2 years of business, finance, or relevant experience preferred

• High School Diploma or GED required

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Statistics or Economics preferred

• Strong fluency with Excel formulas and functions

• Strong analytical and data query/data management skills (Access, SQL, Business Intelligence)

• Strong quantitative and analytical competency

• Experience with data-heavy projects

• Self-starter with excellent interpersonal communication and problem-solving skills

• Ability to streamline functions and passion to learn and grow

• Strong interpersonal skills, including written and oral communication skills

• Comfort dealing with ambiguity and the ability to work independently

• Experience working with and presenting to senior executives

• Excellent communication and presentation skills; be comfortable interacting with executive-level management
