Patient Access Representative Req #: 0000253396 Category: Revenue Cycle and Patient Access Status: Full-Time Shift: Day Facility: Barnabas Health Medical Group Department: Academic Access Center Pay Range: $21.07 - $26.22 per hour Location: 95 OLD SHORT HILLS ROAD, WEST ORANGE, NJ 07052 Job Overview The Patient Access Representative position plays a key role in the health system by providing excellent customer service while ensuring timely throughput and capturing all necessary data. The role involves greeting patients in a timely and friendly manner, ensuring that all customers, external and internal, are treated with the highest level of respect, and providing a safe and secure environment during the registration process. The representative is responsible for accurate collection and documentation of patient demographic and insurance information, utilizing available technology to complete registration. Qualifications High School Diploma required Customer service experience Patient Access experience preferred Knowledge of registration, non‑Federal and Federal billing regulations, and state programs such as Charity Care Medical terminology and computer skills Scheduling Requirements Full Time (FT) Day shift Rotating weekends and holidays Essential Functions Collect co‑payments, issue receipts for patients, and reconcile the daily cash within the PFS Department; directly collects from patients and families.
