Trauma Registrar
Under direct supervision of the trauma program manager, the trauma registrar abstracts medical information from records and enters clinical data in the state registry data-base.
Responsibilities
Entry of clinical data of abstracted charts of trauma patients in the state registry in a timely manner per trauma guidelines.
Abstraction of clinical data from charts of trauma patients when needed.
Actively participates in ongoing preparation for any/all state agencies, as well as the ACS, site visits.
Collaborates in a professional manner with all members of the healthcare team to promote the goals and objectives of the trauma department.
Maintains active participation in the Trauma Multi-Disciplinary Committee and the performance improvement process.
Collaborates with the trauma program manager and other hospital staff in maintaining updates policies and procedures related to trauma-under the trauma program manager's direction.
Qualifications
Education (experience can be substituted for education)
High School Diploma Required
Work Experience (education can be substituted for experience)
Up to 1 year Preferred
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Basic awareness of problem solving and decision making skills.
Basic awareness of digital literacy skills.
