The Role We're looking for a friendly, outgoing, and community-minded Part-Time Retail Associate to join our team. This role is perfect for someone who genuinely loves talking with people, getting to know customers by name, helping someone find the perfect gift, and creating a warm, welcoming atmosphere. You'll help create an inspiring in-store experience while supporting both our retail space and DIY craft bar. What You'll Do Customer Experience & Communit y Greet every customer with warmth, enthusiasm, and a smile Get to know our regulars and help make The Workshop feel like a second home Strike up conversations and create genuine connections with visitors Help customers find thoughtful gifts and make personalized recommendations Support community events, workshops, and special gatherings Create memorable moments that keep people coming back Retail & Merchandising Keep the shop clean, organized, and visually inspiring Restock merchandise throughout the day Help create seasonal displays and feature new arrivals Share excitement around local makers and unique products Checkout & Daily Operations Process transactions using Square Assist with opening and closing procedures Help maintain inventory and organize backstock Support daily shop operations wherever needed DIY Bar Support Keep paints, brushes, and craft supplies stocked and ready to go Welcome guests to the DIY bar and help them get started Check in on crafters and make sure they have everything they need Reset and clean crafting stations throughout the day Help create a fun, encouraging environment for creativity and gathering Who You Are You genuinely love talking with people and building relationships You're friendly, approachable, and naturally welcoming You enjoy being part of a close-knit community You're proactive and happy to jump in wherever needed You take pride in creating beautiful, organized spaces You have a positive attitude and enjoy working as part of a team You appreciate creativity, handmade goods, and supporting local businesses Crafting experience is a bonus—but a love for people is a must!
