Family Care Specialist

Epworth seeks a qualified individual who will support mothers and their children in an environment that promotes recovery, development of healthy life habits, and active, positive parenting. The Family Care Specialist will provide primary supervision for clients while on duty based upon the development of authentic, caring relationships with each respective child and mother. The Family Care Specialist will assist clients and provide services as required by the Family Care Center, other agencies, and Alcohol and Other Drugs counselors. The Family Care Specialist will monitor client progress, identify client needs, and maintain all required documentation according to established guidelines. QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor’s Degree in human service field, or two (2) year Associate Degree in Human Service field and two (2) years of experience in working with children or adolescents. REQUIRED SKILLS: Demonstrated ability to use sound discretion and judgment in developing and implementing decisions. Significant life experience in working with children and adolescents (i.e. group residential counselor, church/youth experience, camp counselor, etc.) Must be able to pass standard background checks and pre-employment drug test. #J-18808-Ljbffr
