Audit Manager Our client, a well-established public accounting firm, is seeking an Audit Manager to lead audit and assurance engagements while supporting team development and client relationships. Location Sacramento, CA. This position follows a hybrid work schedule, 3 days/week in the office. Job Description This role sits within a collaborative environment and offers strong visibility across engagements, with a focus on delivering high-quality client service. The ideal candidate is a technically strong audit professional who can manage multiple engagements, build client relationships, and mentor team members. Responsibilities Lead and manage multiple audit and assurance engagements from planning through completion Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, building and maintaining strong relationships Review audit workpapers, financial statements, and disclosures to ensure accuracy and compliance with applicable standards Ensure compliance with regulatory and reporting requirements relevant to assigned engagements Provide technical accounting guidance on complex issues, including specialized accounting areas Manage engagement budgets, timelines, and resources to ensure efficient delivery Mentor, coach, and develop audit staff and senior team members Collaborate with firm leadership on client service delivery and practice growth initiatives Stay current on accounting standards, regulatory changes, and industry best practices Requirements Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field; active CPA required 5+ years of public accounting experience with a focus on audit and assurance Strong knowledge of applicable accounting and auditing standards Experience managing multiple engagements and deadlines Strong leadership, communication, and client relationship skills Experience reviewing work and developing junior staff Compensation Determining compensation for this role (and others) at Vaco by Highspring depends upon a wide array of factors, including but not limited to: The individual's skill sets, experience, and training Licensure and certifications Office location and other geographic considerations Other business and organizational needs The individual may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses, and can participate in medical, dental, and vision benefits as well as the company's 401(k) retirement plan.
