Heavy Equipment Mechanic

Heavy Equipment Mechanic Mid-Atlantic Division Full-Time Travel: Up to 100% Hourly Rate: $27.15 – $43.45 plus benefits per Collective Bargaining Agreement. Duties / Responsibilities / Physical Requirements Dismantle and reassemble gasoline & diesel equipment using various hand tools and/or hoists Repair & replace major components, damaged and worn parts Clean, lubricate and perform other routine maintenance work on equipment Determine nature and extent of equipment failures Identify required repair parts & supplies Document maintenance and repair work performed Record parts and supply usage Agility to access and repair components on heavy equipment Agility to climb onto, into and out of equipment using ladder Agility to walk and work on uneven surfaces Ability to climb, kneel, stoop, bend, lift, push/pull and / or reach frequently Agility, bodily coordination & dexterity of hands and feet Ensure the quality and timely completion of work scheduled by the supervisor Ability to work productively in personal protective equipment throughout work shift in all weather conditions Perform safety sensitive tasks Perform all work in accordance with Brandenburg's environmental and safety policies Regular and Predictable Performance Education / Experience Candidates must have a HS diploma or equivalent; 1-2 years' experience repairing heavy equipment.
