This role involves providing emergency medicine coverage within a busy community hospital emergency department, supporting a Level III trauma center with approximately 60,000 annual visits, and working alongside hospital-based teams to deliver high-quality urgent care.

Schedule Details

• Ongoing emergency department coverage
  
• Shifts scheduled as day, swing, or night, with variable times
  
• Approximately 5 shifts per month, with specific dates discussed during onboarding
  

Clinical Scope

• Evaluation, stabilization, and treatment of emergency patients
  
• Management of acute medical and traumatic conditions
  
• Collaboration with hospital staff, including physicians and nursing teams
  
• Orders, documentation, and patient disposition via Meditech EMR
  
• Support for pediatric and adult patients
  

Practice Environment

This opportunity is based within a community hospital serving the Frederick region. Providers will work in a fast-paced emergency department environment, supported by hospital staff and advanced EMR technology, with a focus on efficient patient flow and quality care delivery.

Requirements

• Active Maryland license
  
• Board Certified AANP or ANCC
  
• ACLS, PALS, ATLS required
