Registered Nurse - OP Adult Intensive Services (62102)

Aurora Mental Health & Recovery (AMHR) is seeking a compassionate and driven Full‑Time Registered Nurse to join our Adult Intensive Services team. This role requires working five 8‑hour weekday shifts (Monday–Friday, 8:30 AM–5:00 PM) and involves delivering high‑quality, client‑centered nursing care to adults experiencing severe mental illness and substance use disorders. The ideal candidate brings strong clinical skills, adaptability, and a passion for working with high‑acuity populations, with preferred experience supporting adults with co‑occurring mental health and substance use conditions. Salary for this role Starting wage is based on licensure and company equity. Paid bi‑weekly. $36.56 – $44.00 hourly. Bilingual Language Differential Pay Employees who successfully pass a language assessment are eligible to receive bilingual differential pay of $3,000 per calendar year, paid on a bi‑weekly basis across 26 pay periods, prorated based on hire date and full‑time equivalency. Eligibility and payment are subject to the language requirements of the position and the employee’s demonstrated proficiency in the language. Essential Functions Support the clinical functions of the medical team (completing all medical orders and communicating vital patient care information to physician/prescriber). Perform nursing interventions for which an RN has been trained. Observe, identify and monitor patient condition, including changes in symptoms, and report same to appropriate members of the treatment team. Administer injections and medications, as required. Provide medical case management and other clinical interventions, as appropriate. Act as liaison to outside agencies and providers to ensure continuity of care for patients. Provide assistance in crisis intervention, as needed. Accurately and completely chart interventions, lab results, medications dispensed and all activities related to patient interactions according to organization procedures. Complete required education and training in a timely manner. Provide information to credentialing, payroll, etc. in a timely manner. Monitor and coordinate care for assigned clients in partnership with the other members of the client’s care team. Qualifications Associate's in Nursing required. A bachelor's degree in Nursing is preferred. Colorado Registered Nurse Licensure Requirement: per Colorado BHA regulations, you must hold an active Colorado RN license before providing any client services. Out‑of‑state multi‑state or compact licenses are not sufficient. Must possess a Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or obtain one within 30 days of hire. Preferred: one year of relevant clinical experience. Ability to administer medications and injections. Effective communication and coordination skills. Effective organizational skills. Effective problem‑solving skills. Ability to take directives. Basic computer skills and ability to learn/utilize electronic health record. Required Vaccinations And TB Test AMHR requires all employees to receive an annual influenza (flu) shot and to have a negative TB test prior to their first day of hire. Proof of the flu vaccination and a negative TB test will be required upon your first day of employment. Medical and religious exemptions may be requested.
