University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus Department: Dept of Medicine, Division of Pulmonary Sciences and Critical Care Medicine Job Title Advanced Practice Provider (APP)/(PA/NP/APRN)/Medicine/ Pulmonary Sciences and Critical Care Medicine / OPEN RANK Instructor – AssociateProfessor - Medical ICU APP Job Summary Provide daytime and nighttime coverage within the Medical Intensive Care Unit (MICU) of the University of Colorado Hospital. Responsibilities include assessment, ongoing management, and coordination with physicians, residents, and other trainees for patients with pulmonary disease and critical illness. Key Responsibilities Inpatient evaluation and management of acute and critically ill patients with complex medical and pulmonary diseases. Staff the Medical Intensive Care Unit and/or Medical Surgical Progressive Care Unit. Order and interpret tests and evaluations for patient management. Collaborate with consulting services on patient management. Perform invasive procedures with appropriate credentials. Provide cross‑coverage for other service lines within the Division as needed (e.g., Pulmonary Hypertension, Pulmonary Embolism Response Team). Staff other service lines within the Division as needed (e.g., pulmonary consults, critical care consults, Rapid Response Team). Support the educational mission of the division. Other duties assigned by the Lead Advanced Practice Provider and/or the Associate Chair for Clinical Affairs.
