ICU Travel RN Opportunity

Join Baptist Medical Center South for a travel nursing position in the ICU. This 13-week assignment starts on June 1, 2026, and ends on August 31, 2026. The shift is from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM, with three shifts per week. The facility is a 492-bed Level II Trauma Center and Level III NICU, recognized as a Primary Stroke Center.

The ICU includes three units:

• General Cardiac: 10 beds, caring for patients with STEMI, respiratory failure, post cardiac arrest, post stroke care, renal failure, hypertensive emergency, sepsis, and critical care needs.
• CVICU: 12 beds, focusing on post op CABG, Valve, thoracotomies, V-A and V-V ECMO, post cardiac arrest, post heart cath, post op vascular surgery, and critical care.
• Neuro ICU: 14 beds, managing CVA, Subarachnoid hemorrhage (SAH), Subdural hemorrhage (SDH), intraparenchymal hemorrhage (IPH), seizures, and other neurological conditions.

Required certifications include ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS. The unit support includes CNAs, phlebotomists, IV/VAT teams, and hospitalists. ICU monitoring technology includes Cerner EMR, Plum 360 IV pumps, Omnicell medication dispensing, and Spacelabs monitors.

Orientation for new or return travelers includes 24 hours of classroom time and 24 hours on the unit. The schedule includes every other weekend rotation, with no on-call requirement. Holiday expectations are one major and one minor seasonal holiday per policy.

Shift times are 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM and 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM. Scrub color is An, and staff parking is available on campus.
