FOOD PREP/DELI CLERK-FULL TIME/HEALTH BENEFITS

Graul's Market has been serving the Baltimore area since the 1920's. We are a specialty gourmet market focusing on service to our customers and offering a quality product.

• Must have reliable transportation since we are NOT on the light rail or bus route.
• Must be able to work a flexible schedule which includes working Saturdays and rotating Sundays.

This position is at our Lutherville, md store.

This is a year-round position.

FOOD PREP/DELI CLERK-FULL TIME/HEALTH BENEFITS

Duties

• Prepare a variety of deli items, including slicing meats and cheeses, assembling sandwiches, and managing food displays.
• Will weigh, package and price meats, cheese and other deli items
• Will use the slicer to slice meat and cheese, make deli sandwiches
• Assist customers with their selections, providing recommendations and upselling additional products when appropriate.
• Friendly and approachable demeanor
• Collaborate with team members to ensure timely service during peak hours.
• Assist in stocking shelves and maintaining inventory levels for deli products.
• Great customer service and great smile!

Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year of food preparation experience, deli experience highly preferred (grocery store, deli market, catering or restaurant)
• Knowledge of food preparation techniques and food safety standards is a plus.
• Excellent customer service skills with the ability to upsell and promote products confidently.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment while maintaining a positive attitude.
