Fabrication Operator Responsibilities:

• Set up and run dies such as compound, progressive, combination, changeovers, removing die sections and stacking of any parts based on customer's requirement
• Set up and operate feed system which includes dereeler, straightener, feeder and oilers
• Run multiple machines and assist others in setting up other machines
• Operate and use jib crane, overhead crane, Big Joe and other methods of motorized equipment to load and unload coil/material and parts
• Identify room for improvements for daily tasks and ability to train others on most equipment
• Train others in using all measurement tools used in fabrication
• Make good decisions based on daily tasks related to production
• Follow safety policies and proactively identify safety improvements

Requirements for Fabrication Operator:

• High School Diploma or equivalent; technical degree and/or training preferred
• Proficient with computers to access documents related to work tasks and enter daily production numbers
• Meet performance standards of assigned work and perform basic quality checks and understand key dimensions to ensure quality
• Comprehend blueprints and work assignments
• Basic math skills to calculate precise dimensions needed to make a quality part
• Ability to safely lift up to 35 lbs. and occasionally lift up to 50 lbs
• Ability to stand for a prolonged period of time
