Engineering Project Manager

Job Description
Leading architectural and engineering firm is adding a Senior Engineering Project Manager to their Washington, D.C. team!


Responsibilities:

• Collaboratein evaluation of project requirements
• Assistwith negotiation of agreement including fee and time schedule
• Developdiscipline cost and work-hour budgets for each project
• Monitorproject costs and completion status against budget schedules/timelines
• Overseeall correspondence/pertinent documents
• Coordinatereview/evaluation of contractor bids
• Provideday-to-day leadership as needed
• Assistwith preparation of client billings prior to submittal for signature
• Participatein client interviews and development of proposals
• Writescopes of work for engineering design based on preliminary review/meetingswith the client
• Prepare/presentcomplex engineering analysis clearly
• Researchnon-routine code issues and obtain interpretations from code officials
• Managethe production of engineering sketches and system schematics forcomplicated design tasks such as layout of engineering equipment
• Prepareengineering opinion of probable cost for engineering systems/reviewcontractor cost estimates
• Prepareaddendum/change orders
• Reviewdrawings/documents to assure compliance with company design and productionstandards
• Develop/maintaina thorough understanding of construction processes and delivery methods (LEAN,IPD and design build contracts)
• Mentor/trainjunior staff

Requirements:

• Bachelors or Master's degree in Architectural Engineering or Engineering
• 12+years of experience
• 5+years of experience designing engineering systems
• PEregistration preferred
• Knowledgeof current technology, IES, LEED and ASHRAE guidelines and all applicablecodes, (city, state, federal)
• Workingknowledge of building engineering systems
• Proficientin Microsoft Office Suites and AutoCAD
• Workingknowledge of Revit

Salary is commensurate with experience.
