Job Overview The Global Payroll Specialist - Global Reporting and Banking is responsible for ensuring the accuracy, completeness, and effective presentation of payroll processing information for Mercedes-Benz Assignment Services Americas (MBASA). This role also has sole responsibility for banking activities related to EURO payout processes. Responsibilities – 75% Monthly Operations (US & CAN) Generate accurately and timely the regular domestic and global payroll reporting requirements; end-to-end process delivery from payroll registers to general ledger and payroll output files to stakeholders including Accounting, Tax, Benefits, Treasury, Global Payroll Management team, and Global Payroll Provider. Run reporting corrections such as supplemental GL and payroll output file corrections for the external global payroll provider. Respond to variance reports received from EY/Deloitte as part of global payroll control activities. Respond to white spot tracker queries from EY/Deloitte. Review and approve the Canada monthly payrolls, processing associated activities including daily reports and wire approvals for tax payments. Ensure Canada province obligations payments are properly approved and processed as required by the payroll provider. Own Banking euro currency split for Canada inbounds and the US, including assignee questions, maintenance of the self‑service home payout feature, accurate transfer of assignee information into Dayforce (DF), pay instruction from Deutsche Bank (DB), and contact with DB to resolve technical issues. Deliver the DB statement report to accounting; generate the EUR payout split positions report for EY/Deloitte by month‑end. Responsibilities – 25% Annual Processes & On‑Demand Activities Execute hypo‑tax initial calculations and annual hypo tax updates. Monitor company notifications impacting payroll activities (garnishments, tax authorities, refund checks, etc.). Execute various regular internal controls to ensure data accuracy. Coordinate prompt delivery of evidence for the payroll control set for the annual Internal Controls System (ICS) self‑assessment. Minimum 5 years of experience in Payroll, Accounting, Finance, Tax. Working experience with US payroll tax regulations. Working experience with International Payroll. Experience executing internal controls (preferred). Education Bachelor’s Degree (preferable Master’s Degree) with emphasis in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, or Tax. Additional Skills Intermediate or Advanced working knowledge in Microsoft Excel. High numerical aptitude. Data analytics and interpretation of information. Strong sense of urgency and result orientation. Highly organized and detail‑oriented, with a focus on process discipline. Strong, positive interpersonal skills and the ability to work in a team environment.
