Lab Assistant - Molecular
$17.75 - $20 per hourLabcorp
Labcorp seeks a Lab Assistant for molecular diagnostics work at its Raritan, New Jersey facility. The role involves receiving, preparing, and processing clinical specimens while maintaining lab equipment and ensuring compliance with safety standards. Graveyard shift position (Wednesday–Sunday, 12:00 AM–8:30 AM) with shift differential pay.
Responsibilities
- Receive, sort, and prepare clinical lab specimens for testing
- Scan and enter specimen and patient information into systems
- Monitor lab equipment functionality and perform routine maintenance
- Troubleshoot specimen-related issues and maintain supplies
- Maintain clean, safe work environment and complete administrative records
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Comfort handling biological specimens and accurately identifying them
- Basic computer knowledge and data entry skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong attention to detail, prioritization, and multitasking skills
- Pass standardized color blindness test
- Physical capability to meet job demands and fast-paced environment
Compensation: $17.75–$20.00/hr. plus shift differential
