Implement direct speech therapy sessions concentrating on communication, language articulation, fluency, voice modulation, and swallowing techniques.

Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including physical and occupational therapists, nurses, and physicians, to create integrated care plans.

Educate patients and families on progress and techniques they can practice outside sessions to enhance outcomes.

Occasionally perform inpatient evaluations and interventions to ensure seamless continuity of therapy.

Document patient progress and treatment plans in compliance with all state, federal, and institutional standards.

Engage in ongoing professional development through continuing education opportunities and peer exchanges.

Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from a certified institution.

A Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) is required if ASHA certification is not yet attained.

Current state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist.

Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.

A Basic Life Support (BLS) certification must be obtained within the first month of employment.

Expertise in evidence-backed strategies for all age groups, with a deep knowledge of both developmental and acquired speech, language, and swallowing disorders.

Exceptional communication abilities with patients, families, and multidisciplinary teams.

Capability to tailor therapy to meet a wide range of cultural and linguistic backgrounds.

Strong critical thinking skills and clinical decision-making.

Familiarity with electronic health record systems and documentation practices.
