Earn while you learn through Ontic's Engineering Technician Apprentice Program, offered in partnership with El Camino College. This paid Registered Apprenticeship combines hands-on aerospace manufacturing experience at Ontic's Chatsworth facility with required in-person technical instruction at El Camino College's Torrance campus.

About the Apprenticeship

The Engineering Technician Registered Apprenticeship is a structured two-year program combining:
• Paid on-the-job training at Ontic's Chatsworth facility
• Required in-person coursework at El Camino College (Torrance Campus)
• Mentorship from experienced aerospace professionals
• Progressive rotations through manufacturing and production areas
• Skills development in electronic and electro-mechanical aerospace assemblies

What You'll Do

• Complete structured production rotations
• Attend and successfully complete required in-person coursework at El Camino College
• Learn aerospace manufacturing processes from experienced trainers
• Build electronic and electro-mechanical assemblies
• Follow quality, safety, and production standards
• Maintain a clean, organized work area
• Demonstrate professionalism, reliability, and a commitment to continuous learning

Who We're Looking For

We are seeking motivated, dependable individuals who enjoy hands-on work, are eager to learn a skilled trade, and want to build a long-term career in aerospace manufacturing.

Minimum Qualifications

Applicants should meet the following qualifications:
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Preferred minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0
• Eligible to participate in the California Registered Apprenticeship Program
• Must meet Ontic's employment eligibility and applicable U.S. export control (ITAR/EAR) requirements
• Ability to work onsite at Ontic's Chatsworth facility
• Ability to attend required in-person coursework at El Camino College's Torrance campus

Please note: International students requiring visa sponsorship are not eligible to apply due to work authorization and apprenticeship program requirements.

Compensation & Benefits

• Starting pay: $20.25 per hour
• Progressive wage increases every 1,000 hours as you advance through the apprenticeship
• $150 monthly transportation/gas allowance
• Paid, hands-on training
