Banner Health Urgent Care is looking for a Medical Assistant to join our team in Scottsdale, Arizona. This position plays a key role in supporting the work of physicians and nurses through clinical and administrative procedures.

The Medical Assistant will:

• Prepare patients for exams and treatment by taking vital signs and recording symptoms.
• Assist providers with exams and minor in-office procedures.
• Coordinate patient care including pre-certifications, referrals, and scheduling.
• Provide clerical support with patient notifications and documentation.
• Maintain a clean and functional environment.
• Order supplies and manage medication tasks.
• Develop effective communication with internal and external customers.

Minimum qualifications include:

• High school diploma/GED or equivalent working knowledge.
• Completion of an approved medical assistant training program.
• Active Medical Assistant Certification.
• BLS certification required.

Preferred qualifications include:

• Experience with office medical procedures and knowledge of insurance, managed care operations, EMR, and scheduling software.
