• Shift Times: 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM

• Estimated Weekly Pay: $5,880 - $6,300
• Assignment Length: Approximately 6 weeks
• Location: Kodiak, Alaska
• Community: Scenic island community known for rugged coastline, outdoor adventure, and a strong sense of community
• Patient Volume: Approximately 4-5 patients per shift

• Board Certified in General Surgery
• Active Alaska medical license required
• Active Alaska DEA required before start
• BLS, ACLS, and ATLS certifications required
• Must be comfortable with general surgery coverage and inpatient surgical care
• Laparoscopic surgery experience required
• Hernioplasty experience required
• OB/GYN surgery experience preferred
• Clean file required; providers with settlements, DUIs/drug issues, restrictions, terminations, or Medical Board actions are not eligible

• Provide general surgery coverage for assigned dates
• Respond to inpatient surgical needs during 12-hour day shifts
• Evaluate and manage surgical consults and emergent cases
• Perform laparoscopic procedures as needed
• Complete hernioplasty procedures when indicated
• Collaborate with hospital staff to ensure smooth patient care and timely surgical support
• Maintain high standards of clinical documentation and patient communication
• Deliver efficient, reliable coverage in a community-based acute care environment
