Bookkeeper

A growing organization is seeking a dependable and organized Bookkeeper to support its finance and accounting department. This role is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, processing daily accounting transactions, and assisting with accounts payable, accounts receivable, reconciliations, and financial reporting. The ideal candidate has strong QuickBooks experience, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple responsibilities while maintaining accuracy. Key Responsibilities Record and maintain financial transactions using QuickBooks Maintain the general ledger and ensure accurate account coding Process accounts payable, including entering vendor invoices and preparing payments Assist with accounts receivable by applying payments and tracking outstanding balances Perform monthly bank and credit card reconciliations Investigate and resolve accounting discrepancies Prepare and deposit company checks Manage incoming and outgoing company mail related to finance and accounting Maintain organized financial records and documentation Assist with monthly financial reports and accounting support projects Support the accounting team with additional operational and administrative tasks as needed Qualifications Minimum of 1 year of bookkeeping or accounting experience required Strong working knowledge of QuickBooks required Experience with bank reconciliations and financial recordkeeping required Proficiency in Microsoft Excel required Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment Benefits Competitive compensation based on experience Stable full-time position Professional and collaborative work environment Opportunity for career growth within the accounting department Refer a friend and earn up to $1,500 upon a successful hire Location: Brooklyn, NY Type: Full time Salary: Competitive (Based on Experience) #J-18808-Ljbffr
