Area Sales Manager (Fire/Life Safety)

Position Location: This position supports our Cypress, CA branch location, which provides coverage to the greater Los Angeles, CA area.

The Area  Fire  Solutions  Sales Manager is committed  to promoting Siemens' strong market position for  delivering smart building technology for Fire Alarm  Solutions (new construction)to help our customers create outstanding experiences for their customers. Our  Sales Managers lead a team responsible for transforming buildings to be digitally connected and controlled and with your strong leadership skills and passion for team building  you’ll help find and hire top talent, develop employees, and promote long-term retention. 

As an Area Fire  Solutions  Sales Manager you will:

• Promote team selling and expansion of existing relationships across divisions and/or geographic areas
• Act as a resource to sales employees  regarding our products, applications, and services; support the sales process through all phases, including job turnover and implementation
• Communicate goals,  provide mentoring to develop skills, lead employee performance, and conduct performance appraisals; coach sellers to strategically assess customer needs and  identify customer buying priorities
• Review bids to ensure accuracy to meet company and customer  objectives ;  a ssist employees in setting margins,  identifying resources, and assessing future business and  establish executive-level  relationship s with targeted contractors and customers
• Network with field organization, headquarters, and other Siemens' divisions to gain knowledge of offerings; share knowledge with your team and other  employees;  develop sales  forecasts and  provide input to sales targets
• Assist the sales team in  identifying market opportunities; develop strategies to improve impact  to the company; participate in  development of long-range sales planning and growth strategies
• Articulate and drive our digitalization strategy, remote services, and big data analytics;  maintain trade contacts and  participate in industry association functions
• Travel overnight 10% on average for training and business development

You will make an impact with these qualifications:

Basic Qualifications: 

• High School Diploma or state-recognized GED
• 8+ years of sales experience and proven  track record within the commercial Fire/Life Safety industry
• Must be able to  demonstrate :
• T echnical  proficiency in  commercial Fire Alarm/Fire Life Safety  industry
• Ability to  interpret job specifications and drawings to coach sellers in developing winning strategies
• W orking knowledge and u nderstanding of contracting business with tier of contractors
• Organizational, presentation, and negotiation skills
• Must be 21years of age and  possess a valid driver's license with limited violations ; must meet eligibility requirements to  participate in Siemens' fleet vehicle program
• Legally authorized to work in the United States on a continual and permanent basis without company sponsorshi p

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or Engineering
• Management experience in the construction industry
• Proficiency with Salesforce CRM
• NICET Level II (or higher)  Certification in Fire

• The pay range for this position is $112,669 - $193,147 annually with a target incentive of 25% of the base salary. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications, and premium geographic location.
