About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Emergency Department Duration: 26 weeks Shift: 19:00 - 07:00 Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 2 years License: RN Certifications: ACLS, PALS, BLS, TNCC (must be from AHA) Must-Have: Trauma, Stroke, STEMI, Sepsis, Moderate Sedation Description: This is a 26-week contract position in the Emergency Department. The facility is a trauma center that provides healthcare to a diverse patient population. The hospital offers services including medical, surgical, and rehabilitation care. It features a childbirth center, cancer center, nephrology unit, pediatric unit, behavioral health unit, and a day surgery center. The Emergency Department has a total of 48 beds with flex space. Patient ratios are 4:1 in the main department and 6:1 in the fast track area. The unit follows a team nursing and pod system. There is a social worker assigned to the department and a unit educator available. Common patient diagnoses include ESRD, substance abuse disorders, psychological disorders, COPD, CHF, abdominal pain, and chest pain. Required education is an RN ADN or equivalent. Teamwork and collaboration are emphasized within the unit. The hospital is recognized for its beautiful facilities and patient care.
