Dental32 is looking for an amazing Dental Patient Care Coordinator to join our team in the heart of downtown Oklahoma City. We’re looking for someone who is passionate about great service, patient-focused, dependable, positive, and eager to learn and grow with a team that strives to be great. Job Summary:

The Dental Patient Care Coordinator will ensure a positive first impression by efficiently executing front office processes including answering and handling phone calls, scheduling appointments, greeting patients, and check-in/out required procedures. The coordinator will also confirm next day appointments, communicate with patients concerning their appointments and prepare patient records for appointments. The position will also be responsible for working to fill the schedule, preparing information and documents for morning huddles, and additional duties as required.

Duties/Responsibilities:

·       Prepare treatment plans and present plans with insurance/financial information to the patients.

·       Handles incoming phone calls and directs inquiries appropriately.

·       Schedule and confirm patient appointments.

·       Greet patients upon arrival and schedule appointments.

·       Call patients regarding appointment confirmations, reminders, and cancellations.

·       Collect and process patient payments with efficiency and accuracy.

·       Coordinate patient flow by keeping the appointment schedule organized and full.

·       Works with the staff to ensure scheduling proceeds in an effective manner.

·       Maintains patient care databases by entering new information as it becomes available.

·       Directs arriving patients to waiting area and updates frequently on expected waiting times.

·       Maintain a clean, sterile, and patient friendly work environment.

·       Records treatment information on the patient's chart, including treatment rendered, the type of treatment planned, and the amount of chair time, doctor time and assistant time needed for next appointment.

·       Maintain patient confidentiality through HIPAA compliance.

·       Other administrative and housekeeping duties as required.

·       Ability to communicate and express thoughts and ideas competently.

·       Knowledge of English composition, grammar, spelling, and punctuation.

·       Skilled in the use of standard office equipment including telephones, calculators, copiers, faxes, computers and computer software.

·       Knowledge of all company policies and rules. 

Supervisory Responsibilities:

·       None 

Education and Experience:

·       High School diploma or GED certificate.

·       Six months to one-year administrative experience.

·       Treatment planning experience required.

·       Previous healthcare front office experience (preferred).

·       Maintain annual OSHA, HIPAA and Infection Control training as required by law.

Physical Requirements:

·       Continually required to sit, talk/hear and utilize visual acuity to operate equipment, read a computer monitor and use a keyboard.

·       Hand-eye coordination and hand, arm, and finger mobility.

·       Active movement throughout the day: sitting, walking, standing, squatting, bending, stooping, reaching, etc.

·       Ability to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).

·       Able to satisfactorily communicate with patients, doctors, and other staff members to ensure verbal communication is clearly understood, particularly during emergency situations.

·       Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.

Position: Dental Patient Care Coordinator (Part-Time)

Hours: 7:00 AM – 12:00 PM (Mon-Fri)
