We are seeking a motivated Staff Accountant to join our growing Accounting and Finance team. This is a newly created position due to continued company growth and an excellent opportunity for a recent accounting graduate or someone with a couple of years of experience looking to develop their career.
You'll work closely with the Controller and gain hands-on exposure to month-end close, financial reporting, reconciliations, and accounting process improvements. We're looking for someone who has a solid foundation in accounting, is comfortable learning new technology, and is eager to grow with the organization.

We're open to training the right individual, so prior experience with all aspects of the role is not required.
Responsibilities:

1. Assist with month-end close, including journal entries and account reconciliations.
2. Prepare bank and balance sheet reconciliations to ensure accuracy.
3. Support financial reporting and assist with variance analysis.
4. Assist with annual audit preparation, including schedules and supporting documentation.
5. Gain exposure to percentage-of-completion accounting and project-related financial reporting.
6. Work across multiple accounting systems to extract information and prepare reports.
7. Collaborate with the Controller and accounting team to improve processes and reporting efficiency.
8. Assist with special projects and additional accounting responsibilities as the organization continues to grow.

Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
2. Recent graduates and candidates with 0-3 years of accounting experience are encouraged to apply.
3. Foundational understanding of accounting principles and GAAP.
4. Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
5. Comfortable working with technology and learning new accounting systems.
6. Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
7. Strong communication skills and a willingness to learn.
8. Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central or other accounting systems is a plus.
9. Public accounting, construction, service industry, or percentage-of-completion experience is a plus, but not required.
10. Interest in process improvement, automation, or AI technology is a plus.
