Job Description
Nursing Assistant - Healthcare

Schedule:
- Full-Time
- 3 shifts of 12 hours per week, including weekends and holidays

Assignment Details:
- Contract Length: 27 weeks
- Guaranteed Hours: Not specified

Requirements:
- High School Graduate or equivalent
- Post Secondary Education in Health or Human Services
- BLS certification required through AHA/RQI
- 1-2 years of experience in a healthcare setting

Roles & Responsibilities:
- Perform various patient care activities and support services to ensure patient comfort and dignity.
- Assist with vital signs, activities of daily living, and nourishment needs as per the care plan.
- Respond to call lights, reposition patients, and provide skin care as necessary.
- Document care and rehabilitation activities in accordance with policy and procedures.
- Communicate effectively during shift changes and report any changes in patient status to the nursing staff.
- Maintain a safe and healing environment consistent with organizational values.

Compliance / Notes:
- Occupational exposure to bloodborne pathogens is reasonably anticipated.
