Are you a driven, customer-focused Bilingual Insurance Agent / Customer Service Representative then we want you to join our growing team. This is a dynamic, hybrid role designed for a licensed professional who excels at both providing top-tier customer support and identifying opportunities to expand our clients' coverage.
As the primary point of contact for our Spanish-speaking and English-speaking policyholders, you will handle day-to-day service requests while actively engaging clients to ensure their insurance needs are fully met. If you are a problem-solver who enjoys building relationships and has a strong foundation in property and casualty insurance, this is the perfect opportunity for you.
Customer Service & Policy Management
•Serve as the first line of support for incoming calls, emails, and walk-ins, providing exceptional service in both English and Spanish.
•Process policy payments, endorsements, renewals, cancellations, and reinstatements accurately and efficiently.
•Assist clients with the initial stages of the claims process, acting as a liaison between the policyholder and the insurance carrier to ensure a smooth experience.
•Maintain detailed and accurate client records within our agency management system
Sales & Account Growth
•Conduct comprehensive account reviews with existing clients to identify gaps in coverage.
•Cross-sell and up-sell additional policies (e.g., auto, home, umbrella, commercial) to ensure clients are adequately protected.
•Generate quotes for new and existing clients, explaining coverage options, limits, and deductibles in clear, easy-to-understand language.
•Follow up on warm leads and referrals to grow the agency’s book of business.
Compliance & Administration
•Stay current on carrier underwriting guidelines, state insurance regulations, and continuing education requirements.
•Manage incoming mail, emails, and daily administrative tasks as assigned by the agency manager.
Qualifications & Requirements
•Licensing: An active 4-40 (Customer Representative), 2-20 (General Lines), or equivalent Florida insurance license is required — candidates without a valid license will not be considered.
•Language Skills: Full professional fluency in both English and Spanish (written and verbal). Must be able to confidently explain complex insurance concepts in both languages.
•Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in an insurance agency setting, handling both customer service and sales/quoting responsibilities.
•Technical Skills: Proficiency with agency management systems (AMS), comparative raters, and Microsoft Office Suite.
•Soft Skills: Excellent interpersonal skills, a strong sense of empathy, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. Must be a self-starter who thrives in a team-oriented setting.
Compensation & Benefits
•Competitive Pay: $45,000 - $65,000 per year, plus bonus opportunities based on cross-selling and account retention.
