Job Overview We are hiring a Staff Urgent Care Physician with the Advancement of a Medical Directorship in Bakersfield, CA. Essential Responsibilities Urgent Care Medicine, practicing twelve-hour (12) shifts with a 1-hour break. Full-time is 12 shifts per month, 2 on-call shifts per month, and managing 4 mid-level providers. Part-time will be a minimum of 6 shifts per month and managing up to 4 mid-level providers. Treat 4 patients per hour, from newborns to geriatrics (full-spectrum care), in a low-acuity setting. Bread & Butter Procedures: I&Ds, Toenail Removal, and Laceration Repair. Equipment: In-house Point-of-Care testing and X-ray. All X-rays are over-read by a Board-Certified Radiologist, with results available within 20 minutes for routine orders. Easy-to-use EMR: VelociDoc with Dragon dictation and document all patients in one minute Requirements Minimum Requirements | Qualifications: Medical Degree (M.D. or D.O.)
