Rad Tech / X-Ray Tech - Full Time

Jackson HealthPros is seeking an experienced Radiologic Technologist / X-Ray Technologist for a permanent role with an area outpatient healthcare client in Falls Church, VA. The technologist will perform a variety of radiographic procedures and CT imaging to produce high-quality diagnostic images while ensuring patient safety and comfort. The position follows a daytime schedule and supports lower extremity x-ray/CT imaging in an outpatient setting.

Minimum Requirements:

• Associate degree in Radiologic Technology or equivalent and completion of an approved Limited Rad Tech program.
• ARRT certification in Radiography.
• State licensure applicable to the position (Virginia, Maryland, and/or DC) as required by law.
• CT certification and demonstrated CT experience.
• CPR for Healthcare Providers certification.
• Minimum 1 year of clinical experience as a Radiologic Technologist. Preferably 2-3 years of experience; flexibility possible for the right candidate.
• Experience performing lower extremity x-ray and CT imaging in an outpatient or similar clinical environment.

• PTO: 4 weeks.
• CEU allowance: $2,500.

Schedule Details

• Primary shift: Days. Typical hours M-TH 7:30 or 8:00 am to 4:30 pm.
• Short days on Fridays; last patient typically seen around 1:00 pm.
• Standard outpatient workweek, Monday through Friday.

Duties include, but are not limited to:

• Perform x-rays and CT scans according to provider orders and facility protocols.
• Forward images to radiologists for over-read and maintain image quality standards.
• Prepare and position patients for radiologic procedures, provide instructions, and ensure patient comfort and safety during imaging.
• Clean, stock, and sterilize equipment and prepare patient rooms for care delivery.
• Complete required documentation, label/process films, and maintain procedure logs.
• Enter and maintain accurate information in the electronic medical record.
• Monitor radiologic equipment functionality and report malfunctions to the Practice Administrator.
• Provide clinical support as needed, including controlling patient flow, performing EKGs, obtaining blood pressures, documenting vitals in the EMR, and administering injectables as appropriate.
• Support the medical provider during patient examinations, testing, and education.
