Surgical Technician

Your future role at a glance Location: Indianapolis, IN Facility: Ascension St. Vincent Department/Specialty: Main OR Schedule: PRN Days How you’ll make an impact in this role Performs terminal cleaning of each operating room daily, including thorough decontamination of furniture, equipment and air vents. Transports case carts, equipment and supplies and disposes of hazardous waste according to policies and procedures. Monitors and maintains supply inventories at an appropriate par level. Provides physical assistance for patient positioning, lifting and, moving as directed by clinical nursing staff. What Minimum Requirements You’ll Need Licensure / Certification / Registration Required Credential(s): None Required. Preferred Credential(s): BLS Provider. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted. Surgical Tech credentialed from the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA). Education High School diploma equivalency OR 1 year of applicable cumulative job specific experience required. *Note: Required professional licensure/certification can be used in lieu of education or experience, if applicable.
