Medical Assistant

Pride Health is hiring a Medical Assistant to support our client's medical facility, located in Boston, MA 02215. This is a 3+ month contract assignment (Possibility of extension or conversion) and a great way to start working with a top-tier healthcare organization!

• Duration : Contract
• Pay: $20 - $23. on w2/Pay Rate is based on experience and educational qualifications.
• Shift : Varied scheduled of 7:30-4p, 8:30-5p, 9:30-6p Work days per week: 5 days M - F.

Specific Duties:

• Greet and escort patients; obtain and document vital signs.
• Assist providers with routine procedures, exams, and testing.
• Update EMR, including demographics, medications, allergies, and patient history.
• Perform waived point-of-care testing such as strep, urine, hCG, and glucose.
• Assist with referrals, scheduling, follow-ups, lab/imaging orders, and medication refills.
• Prepare and maintain exam rooms and medical equipment.
• Answer backline calls and assist with patient concerns.
• Support MyHealth enrollment, staff orientation, and department improvement activities.

Qualifications:

• 1+ years of experience required.
• Current, nationally recognized Medical Assistant certification or RMA is preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent
• BLS Certification
