Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Orientation and Mobility or Special Education, Certification as a Certified Orientation and Mobility Specialist (COMS), and 1+ years Orientation and Mobility Specialist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

What We’re Seeking:

• National Certification as an Orientation and Mobility Specialist (OMS)
• Vision Certification required
• School-based experience is highly valued, though not mandatory
• Strong communication and collaboration skills for working closely with students, families, and school teams
• Ability to adapt instruction across a range of K-12 students (exact caseload and school assignments are to be determined)

What You’ll Do:

• Assess individual student needs and create customized orientation and mobility plans
• Deliver instruction and skill-building, both one-on-one and in group settings
• Consult and collaborate with educators and parents to support integration into the school and community
• Maintain clear records and documentation as required
• Participate in the district’s two-part onboarding and credentialing process for a seamless start
