Associate Director, Global Pain Forecasting & Analytics

Vertex Pharmaceuticals seeks an Associate Director to lead global forecasting and analytics for its Pain portfolio. The role involves developing forecast models, integrating clinical and competitive data, and providing strategic recommendations to support commercialization decisions across R&D, marketing, and finance.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and evolve global Pain forecast models for current and pipeline assets
• Support long-range planning and scenario analysis with robust forecasting approaches
• Synthesize epidemiology, competitive intelligence, claims data, and market insights into forecast assumptions
• Serve as primary forecasting partner to Global Pain Marketing Lead and Commercial Strategy
• Coordinate cross-functional analytics alignment across Marketing, Finance, HEOR, and regional partners

Requirements

• Deep experience in forecast modeling across early clinical, launch, and in-line stages
• Strong analytical and commercial acumen with ability to structure complex problems
• Prior in-line forecasting experience supporting marketed pharmaceutical products
• Familiarity with primary market research design and relevant data sources
• Understanding of biopharma commercialization, market access, and go-to-market strategy
• Ability to communicate complex analyses clearly to senior leadership
