Job Summary and Qualifications

The Progressive Care Registered Nurse is responsible for coordinating and delivering exceptional, patient-focused care. Working alongside medical professionals, the RN provides both pre-operative and post-operative nursing support, acting as a patient advocate to ensure an outstanding patient experience.

Key Responsibilities:

• Evaluate patient conditions upon admission and throughout each shift, identifying and reporting any changes in status.
• Carry out procedures or tasks as directed by the medical provider.
• Accurately document care provided in the patient's medical record in a timely manner.
• Administer prescribed medications and monitor patient responses.
• Stay informed about medications, procedures, and equipment relevant to the care of cardiac and medical-surgical patients.

Qualifications Required:

• Associate's degree; a Bachelor's degree is preferred.
• BLS certification is required and must be obtained within 30 days of employment.
• A minimum of one year of clinical nursing experience is preferred.
• ACLS certification must be obtained within 30 days of hire.
• NIHSS Stroke Certification is required within 30 days of hire.
• Experience in charge or supervisory roles is preferred.

TriStar Summit is a comprehensive facility with over 230 beds, serving Davidson, Wilson, and surrounding counties.
