Real Estate Finance Associate

A leading Am law firm is seeking a mid-level Real Estate Finance Associate with 3-6 years of experience to join its national Real Estate Finance group in Dallas. The ideal candidate will have experience representing lenders/buyers and/or borrowers/sellers in sophisticated commercial real estate financing transactions. Responsibilities: Represent lenders/buyers and/or borrowers/sellers in commercial real estate financing transactions. Handle loan originations, refinancings, and restructurings. Work on preferred equity financings and warehouse lending structures. Assist with CRE repurchase ("repo") facilities and note-on-note transactions. Support single-asset financings, portfolio and revolving structures, loan sales, and assignments. Draft, review, and negotiate financing documents. Manage due diligence and all aspects of transaction closings. Navigate complex financing matters efficiently and effectively. Work collaboratively with attorneys and clients on sophisticated real estate finance transactions. Support the growth and development of the national Real Estate Finance practice. Qualifications: 3-6 years of relevant commercial real estate finance experience. Experience representing lenders/buyers and/or borrowers/sellers. Experience with loan originations, refinancings, restructurings, preferred equity financings, warehouse lending structures, CRE repo facilities, note-on-note transactions, and/or loan sales and assignments. Strong drafting, reviewing, and negotiation skills. Experience managing due diligence and transaction closings. Excellent academic credentials. Superior writing, communication, and problem-solving skills. Strong ability to navigate complex subject matter quickly and effectively. Ambition, drive, and a strong team-oriented approach. J.D. from an accredited law school. Active bar admission in the jurisdiction where the candidate intends to practice. Law firm or similar professional experience required. Compensation: $240,000-$410,000 annually, depending on experience, plus potential discretionary bonus and comprehensive benefits, including medical, dental, life, disability, vision, 401(k), and paid time off.
