Valley Hospital is located in the center corridor in the heart of the Las Vegas Medical District (LVMD) with 306 acute care beds, including a 48-bed behavioral health unit. As a teaching hospital with graduate medical education, a new pharmacy residency program and over 600 multidisciplinary clerkships and internships offered annually, we focus on the use of evidence-based medicine and the importance of following clinical pathways that research has shown to be effective with most patients.

Job Description:

Provides patient care commensurate with the resident/intern's level of advancement and competency, under the general supervision of an appropriately privileged member of the faculty. The position involves a combination of supervised, progressively more complex, and independent patient evaluation and management and formal educational activities.

Qualifications

Education:

Graduate of an approved college of medicine and an approved Residency Program.

Experience:

One year of successful completion of an AGCME-accredited Family Medicine residency program.

License/Certification:

Active Full License from the Nevada State Board of Osteopathic Medicine or Nevada State Board of Medical Examiners.

Other:

BLS, ACLS, PALS, (as required by program). Membership in the AOA, and ACOI, AOFP, or other specialty college as required by program.
