Payroll Analyst

LHH Recruitment Solutions is partnering with a growing organization in the Triad area seeking a detail-oriented Payroll Analyst for a contract opportunity. This position is ideal for a payroll professional who combines strong analytical skills with hands-on payroll processing experience and enjoys working in a fast-paced environment. The Payroll Analyst will play a key role in ensuring payroll accuracy, supporting compliance initiatives, and providing reporting and analysis to improve payroll operations. Key Responsibilities

• Analyze payroll data to ensure accuracy and compliance with company policies and applicable regulations.
  
• Process and audit payroll transactions, including earnings, deductions, garnishments, and tax withholdings.
  
• Perform payroll reconciliations and assist with general ledger balancing activities.
  
• Research and resolve payroll discrepancies and employee payroll inquiries.
  
• Support payroll tax reporting and compliance requirements.
  
• Generate recurring and ad hoc payroll reports for management and HR teams.
  
• Review payroll processes and recommend improvements to increase efficiency and accuracy.
  
• Assist with year-end payroll activities, including W-2 preparation and reporting.
  
• Collaborate with HR, Accounting, and Finance teams on payroll-related projects.
  

Qualifications

• 3+ years of payroll experience, preferably in a high-volume environment.
  
• Strong understanding of payroll laws, payroll taxes, and wage and hour compliance.
  
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including reporting and data analysis.
  
• Experience with payroll systems such as ADP, Workday, UKG/Kronos, Paycom, or similar platforms.
  
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and reconciliation skills.
  
• Ability to manage confidential information with professionalism and discretion.
  
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  

Pay Details: $25.00 to $30.00 per hour
