Job Description
Exciting Opportunity for a Registered Nurse in the Medical Intensive Care Unit!


- Join a dynamic team in the Medical Intensive Care Unit, providing top-notch care to adult and geriatric patients.


- Work 3x12-hour shifts from 6:45am to 7:15pm with the opportunity to rotate to night shifts about 12 times during your 13-week contract .


- Experience a 1:2 patient ratio , ensuring you can provide personalized care to each patient.


- You will be required to float between ICU, Intermediate, and Telemetry units, adapting to meet the facility's needs.

- Weekend Requirements : Every other weekend; Friday and Saturday.

- Holiday Commitment : One winter holiday, including Eve and Day.

- First-timers are welcome! Previous MICU experience preferred, along with a minimum of 2 years of RN experience .

- Required Certifications :
- ACLS
- BLS

- State Licensure : PA RN license required.

- Unit Overview :
- Average daily census of 16 patients .
- Common diagnoses include sepsis, respiratory failure, and multi-organ dysfunction.
- Procedures may include bedside tracheostomy/PEG placement and central line management.

- Orientation : Includes one day of central orientation and two days on the unit.

- Skill Requirements :
- Strong dysrhythmia interpretation
- IV insulin protocols and blood product administration
- Ventilator management and fresh tracheostomy care
- Experience in managing multi-system organ dysfunction/failure.

- Charting System : Proficiency in Epic is required.

- Scrub Color : Navy blue.
